LAURA L. ESPOSITO
ALBURGH / GEORGIA
2/8/2008
Laura L. Esposito, 48, a lifelong resident of Alburgh and Georgia, died Monday night, Feb. 4, 2008, at her home on the Greenwoods Road in Alburgh surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
She was born in St. Albans, June 13, 1959 the daughter of Douglas and Jean (Hislop) Duchaine and attended Alburgh schools and Missisquoi Valley Union High School in Highgate. She was a member and lifelong communicant of St. Amadeus Church in Alburgh.

Laura had many different jobs in her lifetime but took greatest pride in being a homemaker and mother. She and her husband Peter raised their family in Georgia where she was a childcare provider for several years. Laura was also associated with Champion Jogbra, IBM, was the morning hostess at the Fairfield Inn in Colchester and most recently had been a file clerk for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in St. Albans.

Laura was strong, a fighter and a very independent woman who loved life. Always the life of any party, she loved to dance. She was an incredible multi-tasker who was fondly referred to, among other things as "Mrs. Fix It." Laura was an avid bowler who bowled with different leagues and friends at the Milton Bowling Center and served as a softball coach for her daughters' teams in Georgia. She loved garage sales and being outdoors and had an activity for every season from snowmobiling to motorcycle riding to camping. Among her greatest joys was sitting around a campfire with family and friends and spending time with all the children in her life.

Laura is survived by her soulmate of 34 years, Peter of Alburgh; her two daughters, Angela of Alburgh and her special friend, Jesse Hendee of Highgate, and her "Little Nurse" Ashley and her boyfriend, Bruce Verge of Alburgh; her brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Wanda Duchaine of Alburgh; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ray Bohannon of Alburgh Springs, Bonnie and Joseph Cicia of Alburgh, and Tammy and Ross Poquette of Alburgh; an adopted sister, Wendy Benjamin of Alburgh; her "Grandbaby," her dog Piper; her special friends and neighbors, Billy and Sally Ryan of Georgia; many other dear friends who were all family to her; and many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins.

Laura was predeceased by her mother, Jean, on April 7, 2004; by her father, Douglas on Dec. 21, 2007; and by a sister, Carol Duchaine.

Interment in the family lot in St. Amadeus Cemetery.
