Leonora Ellison Beeney was born in our north country in Johnson county, Iowa, Feb. 6, 1888 and died at the Methodist hospital at Des Moines, Feb. 27, 1917, at the age of 29 years, 21 days. Her girlhood days were spent in Johnson county until her parents moved to Des Moines in 1905. She was graduated from East High school, Dec Moines in 1907, was a student in liberal arts at Drake University in 1909-'10, and a member of the Kappa Kappa Epsilon sorority at the age of fourteen and was a true and faithful member.
She was married to Rev. C.M. Eppard Oct. 24, 1911, to which union were born three children, Trena [Trewa] aged 5 years, Marjorie aged 2 years and Clarence aged 2 weeks, who with the husband and father, mother, one sister and one brother, with numerous other relatives and friends are left to mourn their loss.
