He was born Oct. 26, 1884 in Page County, and was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Dofflemyer [incorrect - should read "Dorraugh" not "Dofflemyer"] Emerson. He was a member of the Newport Church of the Brethren and a retired electrician of the Norfolk and Western Railway. His wife, Mrs. Mamie Nicholson died in November, 1965. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William H. (Pauline) Bricker of Shenandoah, and Mrs. Ronald Bennett of Hyattsville, Md; a son, Clyde Emerson of Shenandoah and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Chapel of the Warren G. Kyger Funeral Home with his pastor, the Rev. Alfred E. Comer, officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Moore, Robert Emerson, William Middleton, Vernon Flory, Thomas Stumph and Ronnie Bennett. Family links: Parents: Henry K.
