Charles Albert Eldridge, 91, life-long resident of Madison & Union counties, passed away at Winterset on Friday, December 24, (1948), after a short illness. Mr. Eldridge was born September 11, 1857, in Madison County and with the exception of a few years spent in Missouri, lived his entire life in Madison and Union counties. He was a resident of this community for many years and has made his home near St. Charles for the past several years. Mr. Eldridge is survived by one daughter, Flora, of St. Charles, and sons, Denny of St. Charles and Raymond of Lorimor. His wife preceded him in death several years ago.
