Funeral for Sybil E. Elam, 82, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Elam died Sunday, May 22, 2005, in Lawton

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born March 9, 1923, in Bokoma, to Franklin Ezekiel and Pearl Marie Foree Hennessee. She moved to Lawton in 1927 as a young girl and attended local schools. She married Quenton Elam on Oct. 8, 1938 in Lawton. He died May 13, 1997. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-Law: Dale and Terry Elam, Tulsa; and Rod and Kim Elam, Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law, Cherryl and Frank Zollars, Lawton; seven grandchildren: Terry Elam, Tulsa; Mike Zollars, Lawton; Danielle Elam, Gig Harbor, Wash.; Frankie Zollars and his wife, Brandy, Geronimo; Kristen and Kyle Elam, both of Lawton; and Hansel Day and his wife, Janie, Collinsville; six great-grandchildren: Matthew, Zachary, Raegan, Carl, Rachel and Cole; a special friend and caregiver, Jennie Taylor; and several nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters: Lois Harrison, Dora Yates and Maxine Cavalieri.
