DEATH OF H. M. EDMONDSON

Hubbard Milton Edmondson was born near Ellettsville, Indiana, March 29, 1836, and died at his late residence in Ellettsville, March 18, 1887. He was the last and youngest member of a family of 11 children. He was married to Miss Rhoda Acuff, November 10, 1859. Ten children blessed this union, five of whom, with one grandchild, still live.

At the age of 17 he professed faith in Christ and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in which he lived until some five years ago, changing his church relation and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in which he remained until his death. He was also a member of Ellettsville Lodge, No. 238, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Francias (sic) D. Mathews Post G. A. R.

Mr. Edmondson was one of our most highly respected citizens and had been engaged for 26 years in teaching school. His funeral services were held in the M. E. Church. After a sermon by Rev. R. A. Kemp of Gosport, his remains were laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery, the beautiful and impressive rituals of the Methodist church and the Odd Fellows being used. We tender our sympathies to the bereaved family.
