Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyd Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Friday, June 19, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. David was born Jan. 9, 1978, in Longview, Texas, son of Mary and James Henry Dunkin Sr. He was employed with Bobby Adkinson as a framer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cullen Dunkin, Gracie Bauer, Frank Bauer and James Otha Dunkin. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Gina Dunkin of Ozark; two sons, Cody Long and Dalton Myers both of Ozark; father, James Henry Dunkin Sr. of Daleville; mother, Mary (Jerry) Dumas, of Newton; three sisters, Priscilla (Jason Testerman) Dunkin of Midland City, Haley Dumas of Selma and Amanda Dumas of Randolph; one brother, James "J.R." (Charlene Phillips) Dunkin Jr. of Daleville; grandmother, Velma Dunkin of Centreville; sister-in-law, Casey Dunkin of Centreville; three nephews and four nieces. Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Lance, Aaron Lemonte, Bobby Adkinson, Marcus Murphy, Kevin Deese and Chris Hirsch. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Testerman, Joe Droddy Jr. and Nathaniel Tripp. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, (334) 774-4551, is in charge of arrangements.
