MANVILLE - Raymond E. Drogowski entered eternal life at the age of 84 on Saturday (May 11, 2002) at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville with his family by his side. Born in Dickson City Pa to his late parents Frank and Stella Ranakowski Drogowski, Raymond was raised in Dickson City and settled in Manville 42 years ago. Raymond retired in 1978 as a break operator for Harris Steel Co. of South Plainfield where he worked for 26 years. He worked as a police officer in Dickson City, Pa. He served in the US Army during WWII and was stationed in Japan. He was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post 2290 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 304 both of Manville. Raymond was also a member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club and a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.

Surviving are his beloved and devoted wife of sixty three years, Jean V. Bielinski Drogowski, and his loving children; son Frank A. Drogowski of Bound Brook and daughter Arlene A. Miller of Manville; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren all of whom were very special to him.

Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, followed by a 9 funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Raymond will be laid to rest in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
