Betty Jo Dills, 68, of Longview, died July 2, 2003, in Marysville, Tennessee.

Betty was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Sealy, North Carolina to Buford Andrew and Minnie Bell (Chastain) Cabe and graduated from North Carolina's Tamassee High School. She lived in Longview since 1954, coming here from Cherokee, North Carolina.

Betty was the cosmetic manager for Pay N Save for 10 years before working as a security guard in the cabinet shop at International Paper. For the past 10 years, she was employed at Peterson's Manufacturing. She will be remembered as a loving, caring person. She enjoyed her grandchildren and their activities, gardening, embroidery, camping and time with family and friends, particularly cooking and baking for them. She was a member of Valley View Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, two daughters, a brother, a sister, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Teddy Dills, preceded her in death in 1997, and also a brother, Tony Cabe.
