Henry de la Bruyere Carpender (1882-1934) He was a cousin of Eleanor R. Mills. Although he was an initial suspect in the Hall-Mills murder he was never brought to trial. He died 8 years after the trial on May 26, 1934. His obituary appeared in the New York Times on May 27, 1934.
