Edward "Samuel" Craig was a well known and highly respected young man of Sligo, and a consistent member of the Sligo Presbyterian Church, having united with the church during the pastorate of Rev. Ardo P. Bittinger. He will be sadly missed in the home and community.
The lovely and loving brother and friend died where manhood's morning almost touches noon, and while the shadows still were falling toward the west. He had not passed, on life's highway, the stone that marks its highest point; but, being weary for a moment he laid down by the wayside and, using his burden for a pillow, fell into that dreamless sleep that kisses down his eyelids still. While yet in love with life and raptured with the world, he passed to silence and pathetic dust.
Service was in charge of Rev. C.L. McCoy, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment was made in the Sligo Cemetery. -A friend (newspaper obituary)
