EARLHAM - A funeral for Verle B. Cook, 95, of Earlham was held Nov. 25, 1989 at the Friends Church at Earlham. Mrs. Cook died of a stroke at her daughter's home in Des Moines on Nov. 22. Burial was in the Bear Creek Cemetery at Earlham.
The daughter of William A. and Anna Jane Barnet, she was born July 22, 1894 at Albany, Ore. In 1918, she married Bernard Cook of Earlham. She was a member of the Earlham Friends Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, her parents, two sons, Marvin and Weldon, a brother a four sisters.
Survivors include a son, William Robert of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Carlene and Doris of Des Moines; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Cook of Wilmette, Ill.
