Lyle E. Cook, 88, passed away February 24, 2013 at The Village Health Center in Indianola, Iowa.
Lyle was born in rural Dallas County Iowa to Harold and Hazel Cook on December 17, 1924. He farmed in the Dexter/Redfield area before retiring to Weslaco, Texas.
Lyle is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeannie; children, Dianne (Kenton) Richardson, Indianola and Philip L. Cook of New Brunswick, NJ; grandchildren, Darcey Jill (Jeff) Landuyt, Drew (Kristy) Richardson, Lyle P. Cook and Blair Thomas Cook; great-grandchildren, Shaffer, Shelby and Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents, a young sister, Dorothy Jane, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth.
A memorial service and interment of the cremains will be held at a later date to be announced.
