Cora Belle Clausen, Perry -- Services for Cora Belle Clausen, 95, a former Winterset reesident who died Dec. 12 at a Perry nursing home, were held Dec. 15 at the Zion Lutheran Church at Dexter with the Rev. David Rempfer officiating. Burial was at the Dexter Cemetery.

Born Nov. 2, 1890 near Norton, Kan., she was the daughter of William M. and Mary Morse Drake. In 1900, the family moved to Madison County and continued in farming.

She attended Winterset High School and taught in Madison and Adair counties and completed nurse's training in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She did practical nursing in Missouri and the Des Moines area many years.

She was married to Ferdinand Detrich Clausen on March 7, 1920 and the couple made their home on a farm west of Penn Center for 65 years. She sang in the church choir and was active in Ladies Aid, Hobby Club, Historical Society and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include a son, Frederick of Dexter; a daughter, Mary Joan Blaisdell of Perry; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
