LINN CHAPMAN

J. Linn Chapman, son of Isaac C. and Joan Chapman, was born December 14, 1887 at Derby, Ia. He passed away at Derby on October 29, 1965 at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 15 days.

He was married at Truro, Iowa August 23, 1914 to Audrey C. Holmes. To this union were born two sons.

He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey in 1957 and also his father, mother and four brother. He is survived by two sons: Robert L. of St. Paul, Minn., and Kermit H. of Early, Ia. One brother Richard L. of Derby, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive.

He attended Chicago Veterinary College, graduating in 1912. He practices his profession at Truro and Red Oak. He returned to Derby in 1919 and continued to practice until his retirement in 1956.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1965 at the Derby Methodist church. The Rev. Gordon Packard officiated at the services. Interment was in the Derby cemetery with the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
