Died – In Monroe county, Ind., on the 15th inst., Walter Scott Campbell, son of Bro. G. W. and Paulina Campbell, aged 3 years and 7 months; his disease was scarlet fever.
There is one great consolation found in Christianity, for those who are compelled to give up their children in life's morning, and consign their beautiful forms to the grave. They know that they have gone to the arms of the Redeemer. Whereas, if they had lived to maturity, they might have been lost in temptation and sin. But as the Poet has said:
He is free from care and sin,
Weep not for Walter now,
He is singing with the angel choir—
A crown is on his brow.
