THE DEATH OF MRS. EVALINE CAMPBELL
Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock occurred the death of Mrs. Evaline Campbell at the home of her son William, two miles northeast of Stockwell. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age. She was born in Ohio October 22, 1820, moving with her parents to this county when she was a small child, and resided here ever since. About sixty years ago she united with the Methodist church at Salem and was a consistent member all her life. In April, 1843, Evaline Wickersham was married to William Campbell, who died nine years ago. To this union were born nine children, three boys and six girls, all of whom survive except one daughter, who died several years ago. The following children survive: Anderson, William, Mrs Sarah McDole, Mrs. Belle Parvis, , Mrs. Rachel Ward, of Oklahoma; Mrs. Charles Jacobs, of Frankfort, and Mrs. Alice Harbaugh, of Danville, Ill. There are fifty-four grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Since the death of her husband she lived with her youngest son. The funeral took place this morning at 10 o’clock from the Salem church, Rev. Frank Mikels, of Frankfort, conducting the services. The interment was in Salem cemetery.
