Donald Ray Bush, 80, of Winterset, passed away Wednesday, September 7th at Madison County Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10 at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with private family burial Monday, September 12 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9th at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Donald was born April 22, 1936 to Van Wray and Mildred Irene (Shelton) Bush. He was in the Army from 1959-1961. When he returned, he did farm work around Winterset.

He moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1976 where he worked at a golf course and then as a semi-truck driver until he retired. He moved back to Winterset in 2010. He was a resident at Winterset Care Center North for one and a half years until his death.

Donald is survived by his sister, Elsie Irene Walker and his brother, Wyman Lee Bush.

He was preceded in death by his parents and significant other, Shirley Holmes.
