Mary Grace Brown, 90, departed this life on September 24, 2008 at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr where she had resided the past few years.
Grace was born September 8, 1918 to Arthur C. and Lucy L. (Smith) Denton in Madison County, Iowa and attended school in the Lorimor area.
She was married April 25, 1945 to Peter G. Brown in Perry, Iowa. They spent all of their years in Union and Ringgold Counties.
Survivors include daughters, Alice and husband Gary Austin of Afton, Iowa and Shirley and husband Allen Kirk of Lorimor, Iowa; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her death were her parents, husband, daughter Barbara K. Brown and son Arthur W. Brown; sisters Georgia Denton, Florence Shields; infant brother Glenn Denton and brother-in-law Marvin Shields.
