Shealeigh Rose Brooks, age 1 died Thursday May 1, 2014 at Levines Childrens Hospital in Charlotte. Born in Mecklenburg County on December 31, 2012 she was the daughter of Tevin LeRay Brooks and Victoria Shea Hamrick. She was very strong and was a blessing and inspiration to alot of people.
Shealeigh is preceded in death by her great great grandfather Hubert Wellmon.
In addition to her parents, Shealeigh is survived by her grandparents, Mellissa Hamrick and Jessica Brooks both of Shelby; great grandparents, Debbie Humphries, Wanda Sherrill, and Kenneth Wellmon and wife Brenda all of Shelby; great -great grandmother, Betty Wellmon of Shelby; Aunts and Uncles, Aaron and Danielle Crowe of Casar, Jay Brooks, Orlando Brooks both of Shelby, Mark and Kim Evans of Polkville, and Jerry and Laura Wellmon of Shelby; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Danny West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the church.
