Birth: Feb. 2, 1829
Death: Dec. 16, 1906

Richard M Boyd died at 1:15 o’clock yesterday morning at the Indiana State Soldiers’ home from uremia. He was born in Baltimore, Md., on February 2, 1829, and served for a short time in the war of the rebellion as a member of company C, Twenty-eighth Illinois infantry. He was admitted to the home from Marion county on November 12, 1902. He is survived by a wife, who resides at the home, and one son, who lives at Indianapolis. Mr Boyd was a member of the G.A.R. and was held i high esteem at the home. The funeral will be conducted at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, and the interment will be made in the Home Cemetery.
