SHELBY Mrs. Vonnie Faye Hennessee Bowen, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, she retired from the Cleveland County Department of Social Services, where she worked with the food stamp program. She was a member of Double Shoals United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell K. and Ella Mae Jackson Hennessee; four brothers, William, Emanuel and Walter Hennessee and Andrew DePriest; and three sisters, Nancy Hunt, Lovenia Newton and Evalee Hudson.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Elbert Buddy Bowen of the home; a son Phillip Bowen and wife, Jennifer, of Concord; two brothers, Floyd Hennessee and wife, Leatrice, of Hanahan, S.C., and Claude Hennessee of Rutherford County; a twin sister, Jean Campbell of Hickory; two grandchildren, Zachary and William Bowen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
