Services for Johnnie Bell Bobbitt, 86, of Longview, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson, Texas, with the Rev. Polly Standing officiating. Interment will be in Old Foundry Cemetery of Lodi, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Haggard-Heaster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bobbitt was born September 21, 1920, in Peason, Louisiana, to Hattie and Solon Parrott. She passed away January 22, 2007, in Longview, Texas.

Mrs. Bobbitt was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson, Texas, for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for more than 50 years, where she served several terms as Worthy Matron. Mrs. Bobbitt was also a member of The Social Order of the Beauceant.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Alton Bobbitt; and a son, Eddie Bobbitt, who died in the submarine service in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include her children, Martha Jane Rhodes of Rusk, Texas, and James E. Bobbitt and his wife, Megan of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, James Hunter Bobbitt and his wife, Kimberly, of Fort Worth, Texas, Tyler McCarthy Bobbitt of Fort Worth, Texas, and Shelley Anne Moore and her husband, Robert of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper Ellis Bobbitt and Carson Tyler Bobbitt.
