Was Prominent in Church Work and Charity

Mrs. Matty Gally Bisbee, wife of the Rev. Dr. Frederick Bisbee, editor of the Universalist Leader, died at her home, “The Milestone,” Arlington Heights, Tuesday night after a long illness.

Mrs. Bisbee was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1857. She was wedded to the Rev. Dr. Bisbee in San Jose, California in 1890, and soon afterward that came to Boston, where they ave resided ever since.

Mrs. Bisbee had been conspicuous in church and benevolent work for 29 years, serving as a trustee of the Bethany Union, a home for young women in Boston. She took much interest in guiding and assisting in the education of young people. She leaves two children, John Bancroft Bisbee of Rochester, Minnesota and Eleanor Bisbee of Columbus, Ohio.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30PM at her late home, 107 Appleton Street, Arlington Heights.
