The most amazing woman I have ever known Ethel Nuckolls Ammons Was Born to John Nuckolls
and Edna Sue King. Her Paternal Grandmother was Icy Nuckolls and her Maternal Grandparents were James King and Asalee Manis.
She was a native of Dalton, Ga.and had been a resident of Putnam County for the past 49 years.
Her husband Dargan Ammons
(Son of Walker Ammons and Rosa Rogers) preceded her in death.
She retired in 1995 from the Kraft Shipping Department at the Georgia-Pacific Corp. in Palatka after 35 years of service. She had enjoyed making various crafts and ceramics, sewing and crocheting. As a child I used to love to watch and learn everything I could from her.
She is survived by her husband of nine years, Emory B. Harris of Crescent City; her mother, Edna Sue Nuckolls of Rossville, Ga.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosanna M. and Billy Hope of St. Marys, Ga., and Sandra and Hubert Aldridge of Kingsland, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Wanda Ammons of Kingsgland, Ga.; one brother, J.B. Nuckolls of Rossville, Ga.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy and Brian Hinton, all of Rossville, Ga.; six grandchildren and spouse, Gene Hope, and Shane and Kristy Hope, all of St. Marys, Ga., Misty, and Ashley Ammons, and Kristy Johns(Thomas) and Joe Johns III of Palatka; and seven great-grandchildren.( soon to be 11)
This I leave in her memory...
" I miss you I miss your smile and I still shed a tear every once in a while and even though it's different now your still here some how my heart won't let you go And I need you to know I miss you, sha la la la la I miss you... Miley Cyrus "
Even though she wrote those words she could not have said it better for me..
