FORT MILL -- Mr. John Edward Allison Sr., 75, of 709 Cody Court died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at home.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church cemetery, with Drs. Boyce Wilson and Jack Basie officiating. Mr. Allison was a son of the late William Floyd Allison Sr. and Alda Lee Mendenhall Allison. He graduated from York High School and attended The Citadel. He was employed by Celanese in Rock Hill and General Tire in Charlotte. He retired after 27 years of service with the state of South Carolina as district manager of the Myrtle Beach Air section of DHEC. Surviving are his wife, Frances Mickle Allison; two sons, John E. Allison Jr. of Columbia and James "Jimmy" D. Allison of Fort Mill; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service.
