BLOOMINGTON - Helen L. Bauer, 91, of 402 S. Mercer died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at her residence.
Born Sept. 27, 1909, in Congerville to Samuel and Lillian Stoller Zimmerman, she married Arthur E. Bauer on June 28, 1936, in Goodfield. He died Aug. 27, 1993.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Glenn, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Stanley (and Janetta) of Ellsworth; two daughters, Joyce (and Donald) Whitten of Mechanicsburg and Jeanice (and Hank) Young of Heathrow, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Jeff Zimmerman of Morton; and three sisters, Edith Getz of Morton, Violet Hohulin of Eureka and Lillian (and Lory) Stahly of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Normal and Gideon Auxiliary, Bloomington Chapter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at her church. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Mackinaw Dells Cemetery in Congerville.
