St. Clair - Feb. 11 - Mrs. Margaret Markel, 86, one of the oldest members of the Rosary Society of St. Mary's Catholic church, died Sunday night in the McFall Nursing Home, St. Clair.
Mrs. Markel is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Gust Yeip and Mrs. Clara Chute, St. Clair; Mrs. Bert Brown, Detroit, and Mrs. Lewis Dufor, River Rouge, and four brothers, John and Tony Zimmer, St. Clair, William J. Zimmer, Port Huron.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the L. C. Friederichs and Son Funeral home, St. Clair, and at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Rosary devotions will be conducted by the Rosary society of St. Mary's church in the funeral home at 9 p.m. today, and by men of the parish at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
