Hattie Belle Boxman
Hattie Belle Boxman, 95, of Bloomington, died Sunday at Meadowood Health Pavilion.
Born March 2, 1903, in Taylorsville, she was the daughter of Charley and Jennie (Bozell) Zigler.
She and her husband, the late Henry F. Boxman, co-owned and operated Boxman's Restaurant in Bloomington from 1928 to 1956. She was a member of First United Methodist church and Kappa Delta sorority where she was very active in alumni affairs, and had served as a Pink Lady at Bloomington Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Charles R. Boxman of Indianapolis; one daughter, Jane Ann Kalb of North Port, Fla.; one sister, Mary Byrl Wray of Greenwood; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Day Mortuary with the Rev. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
