BODY DISCOVERED IN RIVER MAY BE GRUNDERVILLE BOY
MRS DORA ZERBE BELIEVES IT IS HER SON, CALVIN DROWNED APRIL 19TH
Developments last evening in the investigation being made in an effort to identify the body of the man taken from the Allegheny river at Pennsylvania House, late Tuesday gave rise to the belief that it is that of Calvin Zerbe, 17, of Grunderville, who is thought to have been drowned in the river, April 13th while fishing. At the time Zerbe was to company with William Lehman, 22 of Star Brick, his brother in law, who has also been missing from the home since that date.

Mrs Dora Zerbe of Grunderville mother of Calvin, came in Warren to interview the Corner Ed C. Lowery, and practically identified the shoes worn by the unknown man as very similar to those wore by her son when he was last seen. Other articles of clothing which he wore also compared with raiment on the body recovered Tuesday.

The body was interred in Oakland cemetery yesterday, after it had been viewed by Mrs William Parker, of Torpedo, several parties from Bradford, and the mother of Floyd Cross, of Tidioute. At the time it was taken from the river, persons present who were acquainted with the two boys, failed to identify it, and the idea that it might be either of them was dispelled, when no person failed to recognize the description as either of the young men.

It was not decided last evening whether it would be dis interred, but because of the close resemblance, it was believed that such steps would be taken to prevent another examination.

Mrs Zerbe stated that her son wore practically the same clothing as was found on the body, including one button suit, merge trousers, overall jacket and yellow shirt.

Providing it is definitely decided that the body is that of Calvin Zerbe, his mother says she will have it buried in the Catholic cemetery, he having been a member of that faith.

Zerbe's father, Michael Zerbe, is dead, but he is survived by his mother, Mrs Dora Zerbe of Grunderville; two brothers, Willard and George, who help their mother on the Grunderville farm; and by tow sisters Mary Zerbe, at home, and Margaret Zerbe Lehman, wife of William Lehman, who was with Calvin when he lost his life.

Young Zerbe, although, but 17 years old, was five feet and 11 inches in height and weighed about 180 pounds.
