Kriechbaum Mrs. Gladys V. Kriechbaum 97, of Chambersburg went to be with her Heavenly father August 14, 2012 at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born on August 1, 1915 in Peters Township, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Clarence and Nora (Tritle) Zeger. She worked at J. Schonenman Clothing Manufacturing Company (former Stanley Co. ) for 25 years retiring in 1977. A member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chambersburg for 55 plus years and the Augsburg Sunday School Class for 45 years, she also was a member of the Golden Age Club, American Association of Retired Persons and associate member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a volunteer at Menno-Haven, Menno Village. Gladys enjoyed traveling with her family, camping, and fishing with her late husband Casimer B. Kriechbaum of 38 years who died September 25, 1993. She also enjoyed latch hook and embroidering. She was a loving and devoted mother grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She is survived by three daughters: Bonnie (wife of Kenneth) Eckstine, Williamsport, MD, Linda (wife of Stephen) Harry, Chambersburg, PA., Mrs. Sue Bachtell, Chambersburg, PA., a son Casimer Kriechbaum, Jr. (husband of Barbara), Waynesboro, PA, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one sister, Mary Shenenberger Menno-Village. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Zeger, Paul Zeger and one sister Mable Robinson. The celebration of life for Gladys will be held in the Chapel of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chambersburg, PA. on August 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Neal O. Hively officiating. There will be no viewing and interment will be private.
