She was born on December 14, 1948 in Bexley, Ohio, the daughter of the late Allen and Bertha (Veit) Petzinger.
Paula's most recent occupation was as a teacher's assistant in the Ball-Chatham School District. She took pride in her children and loved teaching children. She was multi-talented, from artist to ski instructor to building her own home. She was a member of the Professional Ski Instructor's Association (PSIA).
She is survived by 3 children, Kacy Lyn Zander of Edgerton, WI, Joseph Ryan Zander of Las Vegas, NV, and John Patrick Zander of Steamboat Springs, CO, a grandson, Chance Zander-Burnett of Springfield, a brother Allen Petzinger of Columbus, OH, and 2 sisters, Janice Smith of Naples, FL, and Sandra Biedelman of Columbus, OH.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home. 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., where memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial services wil be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield, with Rev. Greg Busboom officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donation to be made to the American Cancer Society or the Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery.
