82, Weston, died Tuesday December 27, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born January 12, 1929 in Portage County, son of the late Frank and Irene (Rutta) Zakrzewski. He married Carletta Muelver in Wausau. She survives.

Ernest was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Air Force. Among his favorite things to do were art projects, especially drawing. He was also an avid typist. Through the years he had been employed at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Eau Claire and worked at the former Crestline Corporation, Wausau. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, George Schreier Council No. 1069, Wausau.

Survivors include his wife of Weston, three daughters, of, Mosinee, and Florida, six grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Collins.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday December 30, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
