SOUTH BEND - Helen B. Zakrzewski, 81, passed away on Friday, May 16, at 3:50 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. Helen was born in South Bend on December 17, 1926, to the late Joseph and Frances (Piatek) Trzop. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marie Nawrocki; and brothers, Walter, Joseph and Casimer. On November 9, 1946, in South Bend, she married Eugene A. Zakrzewski. She is survived by her husband Eugene and many nieces and nephews.
Helen lived her life in South Bend and worked as a clerk for S&S. Dry Cleaners for 30 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked at One Hour Martinizing. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Taking care of her nieces and nephews through the years was her joy.
