Vivian was born on December 15, 1923, on a farm north of Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Mamie (Holubar) Yuska. She graduated from Traer High School in 1941. On August 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Ernest Kvidera at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in rural Clutier. She and her husband farmed in rural Traer and ran a dairy farm. They moved to Clutier in 1986 after their retirement. Vivian has been a resident of Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer since 2004. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer and formerly St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Clutier where she was active in the Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Workman, FCSLA W130 and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Iowa Multiple Sclerosis League and the Cedar Valley Polka Club. Vivian enjoyed Polka dancing, quilting, baking and gardening. Survivors include her children, Joyce (Louis) Schwartz of Janesville, Stanley (Ramona) Kvidera of Lake City, SD, Randy (Kathy) Kvidera of Traer and Nick (Deanna) Kvidera of Traer; thirteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Paustian of Traer; one brother, Glen (Dorothy) Yuska of Traer; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ernest in 1993; one sister, Elsie (Fred) Cizek; two brothers-in-law, Elmer Axler and Lowell Paustian; and a sister-in-law, Loretta (Edward) Konicek. A memorial fund has been established.
