| Birth: | Nov. 30, 1910 | | Death: | May 26, 2011 |  Thomas F. Younger, 100, Overland Park KS, passed away from natural causes on May 26th, 2011 at Overland Park Place. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 1st, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St., Overland Park, KS, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31st at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., Overland Park, KS, where a rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Mr. Younger was born November 30, 1910 in Kansas City, MO. He belonged to Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in World War II and was a POW, captured at the Battle of the Bulge. He had a passion for horse and dog racing, a love that he shared with his wife of 56 years, Mary A. Younger as well as with relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife on September 6, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Edward M. Younger of Olathe, KS and Thomas A. Younger of Overland Park, KS, and his daughter Kathy M. Karson, Sedalia MO.; along with 7 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Please offer condolences at mcgilleyhogememorialchapel.com.
