Born December 3, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of S. Grant and Janet Colclough Young.
Married James M. Adams on December 16, 1937 in Ensenada, Mexico. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1974.
She was associated with the American Businesswomen's Association. Co-owner, with her husband, of Smith and Adams Tent & Awning Company.
In her youth, she was an accomplished horsewoman and a Days of '47 Queen.
She was a lifelong lover of animals and in her retirement years she devoted much of her time and love to her special little dogs. She often expressed, that in event of her death, that donations be made to the Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Community Nursing Services-Hospice for their time, care, and concern, in enabling Frankie to die in peace at her home knowing that her childrens' love and support were there for her.
Survivors: son and daughter, Jaime G. Adams, and wife, Sharon, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Donald (Jorgi) Schindler, Glendora, California; brother, Grant Young, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A brief memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 1991 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street.
Entombment: Salt Lake Mausoleum, 1001 11th Avenue.
