Avice Young, 91 of Salado died Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was born May 8, 1925 at Rosie, Arkansas to Oscar and Artie Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salado Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Young; brothers, Arnold "Boe" Martin and Abner "Dobber" Martin and sisters, Alice Martin and Adrienne McBride.
Survivors include sons, Roy Young, Ronnie Young and Lonnie Young all of Salado; grandchildren, Ronda Prothro and husband Travis, Robin Parish and husband Jerry, James David Young and wife Brittni, Tracy Pollard and Karlee Prothro; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Salado Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Crowson and Bro Farrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyatt Cemetery at Rosie with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Visitation will be Sunday October 16, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James David Young, Kyle Williford, Dillon Prothro, Caleb Limbaugh, Travis Prothro and Robert Martin.
Honorary pallbearers are Roger Martin, Norris Guynes, Terry Young, Joe Young and Charles Dean Young.
