Isaac N. York was in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He enlisted as a Private in H Company, 11th Missouri Infantry Regiment in St. Louis, Missouri on 28 Feb 1864. He was 6 ft. tall, dark complexion, blue eyes and gray hair. He was discharged on 15 Jan 1866 in Memphis, Tennessee. Isaac died in a Military Veterans Hospital in Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois of various medical problems.
