Joan was a homemaker, a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg and an avid bingo player.
She was the loving wife of Russell E. Cool and having celebrated 53 years of marriage on September 11, 2006 is also survived by a daughter, Susan Cool of Bonneauville; four sons, David R. Cool, Nicky J. Cool both of Gettysburg, Scott P. Cool of Biglerville and Chad M. Cool of Heidlersburg; two sisters, Lillian Black and Mary R. Bowling, both of Gettysburg; two brothers, Norman E. Yingling and James F. Yingling, both of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
