Wife of James "Jim" W. Brown. Together they ran the Brown's Bording House in Rockland, Tyler Co., TX where a good many of the Kirby Sawmill workers stayed.

Julia out lived her husband, her daughter Louisa and her son-in-law.
In 1930, Julia is living on Live Oak St, a few blocks from this cemetery, with her widowed daughter Nannie Good and her two grandsons, Joseph and Hugh Good.
NOTE: According to the DC she was born in 1850 while the headstone gives 1851. Informant was Mrs. A. B. Greer of Pt. Arthur.
