Emily M. ‘Bid' Diggan
Owned and operated Washingtonville caf?? Emily M. "Bid" Diggan, 90, of Schoolhouse Lane, Turbotville, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg. Born on Aug. 3, 1922, in Turbot Township, she was the daughter of the late Byron E. and Sara Catherine (Balliet) Yeager. She was married to Robert M. Diggan for 57 years until his death May 28, 1998. Bid owned and operated the Bob & Bid's Caf?? in Washingtonville with her husband for 22 years until 1986, and also worked at the former Turbotville hosiery factory. Bid was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville, and attended Milton High School. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. (Dean) Pfleegor of Milton; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Bid, in addition to her parents and husband, was preceded in death by a son, Randal Diggan; and brothers: Harold "Tim" Yeager and Byron "Dick" Yeager. Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Erwin C. Roux officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville. Memorial contributions in Bid's name may be made to the church, P.O.
