MRS. NIXON
LANETT --- Mrs. Lucille Nixon, 87, of Lanett died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. in the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Kelley of Lanett and Lynn Weeks of LaGrange; six sons, Billy Nixon, johnny Nixon, Jimmy Nixon, Ray Nixon, Lewis Nixon and Steve Colson, all of LaGrange; a sister, Willie L. Britton of Lanett; 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A native of Lanett, Mrs. Nixon was born May 1, 1909. She was a homemaker and a member of Lanier Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nixon, a son, Wesley Nixon and a daughter, Margaret Colson.
The family will receive friends Monday Dec. 30 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
