ORR, Jenice Y., 94, this loving wife, mother and grandmother peacefully passed away September 23, 2006, after a long illness. She is with our Lord Jesus and her husband, Fred Orr; her son, Joseph Pellegrino; her nine siblings and numerous relatives and friends who have preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Jack Poole and his wife, Jeannette of Tampa and John Pellegrino of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jenice was born May 2, 1912, in Honduras and arrived in the Port of Tampa, at age nine, on one of her father's sailing vessels. She was an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Tampa for more than 60 years. She was a Deaconess Emeritus and a past president of the Christian Women's Fellowship of First Christian, active in Church Women United and instrumental in helping to organize their "Clothes Closet" Program. Jenice worked tirelessly on her "lifelong project" of raising funds to install an elevator in First Christian Church. Visitation will be 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006, at First Christian Church, 350 S. Hyde Park Ave., Tampa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifepath Hospice, Silver Team, or to the Youth Summer Camp Fund of First Christian Church
