George was the adopted son of Seckle R. Yarian and Flossie Macklin.
He married on November 21, 1931, to Joanna C. Jackson.
Yarian George, 56, R.1, Avilla, was dead on arrival at McCray Hospital Friday. He was last employed as a guard at the Kraft plant in Kendallville. The son of Seckle and Flossie Macklin Yarian, he was born Aug. 12 in Harlan. He was married to Joanna Jackson on Nov. 21, 1931 and was a farmer, residing on the Swan Road. He worked at the LaOtto Grain Co., and Harlan's Hardware in LaOtto, and the Avilla Feed Mills. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Swan and the Albion Saddle Club. Surviving are the wife, Joanna (Jerry), one son, Jack, a student at the University of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Elmer Marlin, Fort Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Harold Pearson, Skinner Lake; four nephews and two nieces; and the mother, who resides at the Garrett Convalescent Home. Funeral Monday in the L. E. Berhalter & Son Funeral Home in Avilla. Burial, Avilla Cemetery.
