Mrs. J. W. Eagle Dies.
Mrs. J. W. Eagle, 41, died at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at her home, 22 Rural. She had been sick a week with influenza and heart attacks. She was born June 30, 1891, at Washington, Kan. Her maiden name was Lucia May Wyatt and she was the daughter of Mr. ad Mrs. Ines Wyatt. She married J.W. Eagle November 6, 1912, at Concordia, and moved to Emporia soon after the wedding. Mrs. Eagle was a member of the Grace Methodist church, the Royal Neighbors and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainman.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. Eagle and one son, William Eagle, 22 Rural; her mother, Mrs. Ines Wyatt, Concordia; a sister, Miss Grace Wyatt, Concordia; a brother, Floyd Wyatt, Lincoln, Neb.; one niece, Miss Velma Wyatt, Kansas City, Mo.; and a nephew, Wilbur Wyatt, Lawrence.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Grace Methodist church. Rev. J.C. Brogan will conduct the services. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
