Waldemar Wulff

Waldemar "Walt" Wulff, 70, of Neillsville, formerly of Mondovi, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1937, in Mondovi, son of Kenneth Theodore and Selma Matilda (Jordet) Wulff. He was united in marriage to Barbara Steinke on July 11, 1964, in Durand. He was a self-taught mechanic, mason, carpenter and truck driver. He passed these trades onto his children, instilling in his family a "you can do anything you put your mind to" attitude. He was also co-owner of Wulff Trucking until his retirement in 2000. He loved traveling with the love of his life, Barbara, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his special niece.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Deb (Dan) Hill of Mondovi, Sue Lambert of Elgin, Texas, Beth (Dean) Gotter of Spencer, Eileen (Ray) Pagenkopf of Neilsville, Margaret (Scott) Gruzebeck of Lynnwood, Wash., Marvin of Sun Prairie, Jim (Naomi) of Withee, Ken of Neillsville, Don (Nelda) of Batavia, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen (James) Walker of Edgerton; sisters-in-law, Mildred Wulff of Edgerton, Barbara Wulff of Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Oscar Christopherson; brothers, Sanford and Phillip; daughter-in-law, Monic.
Family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. A prayer service, conducted by Chaplain Fran Trochta, will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi.
