Mrs. Belle Behrendt, 84, formerly of 1007 Eastern Avenue, Plymouth, died at Rocky Knoll Hospital and Sanitarium early Sunday after an illness of six months.

The former Alice Isabelle Wright was born May 25, 1884 in the Town of Plymouth, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wright, and was married to William Fisher on Oct. 6, 1901, at Charlevoix, Mich. The couple lived in Petoskey, Mich., until 1919 when they moved to Plymouth where Mr. Fisher died in 1938.

On May 26, 1943 she was married to Adolph Behrendt in San Francisco, California, where they made their home. He died March 31, 1949. She returned to Plymouth in 1956.

Survivors include three sons, John of Plymouth, Ray of Los Angeles, California, and Elmer Fisher; two stepchildren, Norbert Behrendt of Plymouth and Mrs. Hazel Brickheimer of Milwaukee;
eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one son, five brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. Lowell Ferguson, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of services.
