Lena Victoria Wright Luce "Gram," 88, of Gallatin Gateway died peacefully with her family by her side on Oct. 30, 2007, at Aspen Meadows in Billings.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1919, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of William H. Wright Jr. and Ida L. (McCullum) Wright. She was raised in Belleville, but left school at a young age to care for her ailing mother.

In March 1937, Lena was united in marriage to George S. Luce Jr.

As a very dedicated worker, Lena was employed at Rochester Products, a division of General Motors, for 25 years.

The most important thing to Lena was her family; she spent her lifetime nurturing and taking care of them. Her hobbies included glass cutting, SHOPPING, garage sales and eating desserts. Lena was involved in the Brockport Conservation Club and an active board member of the Gallatin Gateway Community Center.

Lena is preceded in death by her sister, Ida Weaver; and her brother, Kenneth Weaver.

Survivors include her husband, George, of 70 years; daughters: Sue (Bill) Burton of Bozeman, Darlene (Chuck) Rouse of Billings, Clara (Ralph) Smith of Billings, Carol (Sam) Capone of Rochester, N.Y.; sons: George S. (Nancy) Luce III of Brockport, N.Y. and William (Nan) Luce of Billings; 12 wonderful grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother, Charles Wright.

Interment will be in Salesville Cemetery
