MT. AUBURN
Death claimed Mrs. Fred Amburn Friday evening at 5 o'clock after a short illness from uremia poisoning. Apparently in the best of health she was suddenly stricken and for several days lay in an unconscious condition. Elsie Amburn, daughter of Mr. and Mr. W. M. Wright was born in Spring Creek Township, Black Hawk County October 3, 1889 and died January 29, 1915, at the age of 25 years, 3 months, and 26 days. February 11, 1914, she was united in marriage to Fred Amburn and they resided on a farm east of town. November 3, 1913 she united with the Christian Church and remained an active member up to the time of her death. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Amburn was a most highly respected woman and her sudden death has cast a gloom over the entire community where she will be greatly missed, but the Lord knew best and called her home. S.
She leaves her husband, father, mother, one brother, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Funeral was held at the Christian Church Monday at one o'clock, conducted by Rev. Fisher and the Rebekah Lodge, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
